Hello!
Welcome to our web site and thanks for visiting us today. My name is Andy and I'm the Vicar here at St Thomas' Church. We're a group of Christians who meet regularly on Sundays and at other times to praise God and to encourage one another in our faith. Whether you're already a Christian or just thinking about the faith you'd be most welcome to join us one Sunday. There's something for everyone and refreshments are served after the service. Do join us if you're free. We'd love to meet you. Revd Andy Brewerton (Vicar) |

One Life. What's it all about?
At St Thomas' we're running a group called 'One Life'. Why are we here?
Is there a God?
What is life all about?
Here at St Thomas' we believe that the Christian faith has something to say about the big questions in life.
The group will give you time to think about some of these big questions, and to explore the life of the person at the heart of the Christian Faith - Jesus Christ. Our next group will be starting on the 11th January 2012 at St Thomas' Church. Click here for more details. |
St Thomas' Community HallWe've launched our plans for the new St Thomas' Community Hall, with an information leaflet and short film explaining what it is and why we need it. We've also set up an on-line giving facility if you would like to donate to our 'Brick by Brick' appeal. Click here for more details and to watch the video. |

150th Anniversary BookThis year we're celebrating 150 years since the St Thomas' Church opened it's doors, and we're delighted that local historians Ken Wyatt and Giles Brearley have researched and written a new book, 'St Thomas Kilnhurst - A Celebration of 150 Years'. Tracing the history of the parish since it's beginnings in 1859, the book sets out a time-line of the significant events in church and community life. Along side these local events the authors provide a commentary of national and international events, setting the history of Kilnhurst into a wider historical context. The book is available from church, priced £5.50. It can be purchased by mail order for £7.00 including post and packing. |
