St Thomas` is a group of people who have a deep desire to worship God and who want to share the really Good News that in Jesus Christ, God has demonstrated His love for each one of us, and given us new everlasting life.!

We believe that God created the world in which we live ... and despite the fact that all people have rebelled against Him ... and we have all spoiled the good things which God has made ... God still loves us. In fact God loves us so much that He sent His Son Jesus Christ into the world to rescue us from going to hell, and bring us back to God the Father.

We believe that Jesus: showed us how to live ... died for our sins ... rose again so that we might have eternal life ascended into heaven .... and now reigns as Lord and King.
|
|
We also believe that God sends His Holy Spirit to live in the hearts and lives of those who trust Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. We believe that all this is Good News!
|
|
And we want to show this Good News in our lives ... especially as we come to worship God together ... showing that we can enjoy the life which God has given us.
|
|
So - this truth about God should affect our everyday life.
|
|
This Good News means that God is with us ... all the time; and He has given us His word, the Bible, so that we might know how to live and say thank you to Him with the rest of our lives ...

We do so:
|
As we come to worship Him in our own lives every day .... seeking to read the bible and understand it
|
|
As we pray about the things that bother us
|
|
As we come to worship God together ... in small groups ... getting to know each other ... and helping one another
|
|
As we meet as one family together each Sunday.
|
|
We also seek to live our lives the best we can ... and although we admit we sometimes fail ... we also rejoice that God is willing to forgive us; and so we seek His help in living holy lives to His honour and glory.
